Tenant Consulting LLC is known as the tenant team to assist organizations with complicated and sometimes seemingly impossible real estate issues.


Tenant Consulting LLC was created in 2002 to address a client’s (the American Council of Life Insurers) concern about “tenant representation” firms representing two different tenants negotiating for the same block(s) of space in the same market. Tenant Consulting was created to insure its tenant brokerage services would be free of not only landlord conflicts, but also the conflicts of tenant only brokerage firms representing two tenants in the same market competing form the finite pool of concessions from the same landlords.

We focus on turning each client’s lease/real estate needs into an asset that supports their overall business plan and mission. Tenant Consulting is known throughout the Washington, DC, market and nationally as the tenant team to assist organizations with complicated and sometimes seemingly impossible real estate issues.

Tenant Consulting is the only licensed vendor able to administer the Internationally Patent Pending StepDown Lease™ Method to corporations and nonprofits, which reduces their annual operating rent costs by +/- 25% each and every year of their existing and or new lease term. Tenant Consulting is the only licensed vendor able to administer LawTriums™, which reduce law firms’ annual operating costs by 30% to 60% annually.

Craig Lussi

President & CEO

Has 40 years of experience (+27 million sf) as a commercial real estate consultant advising clients on transactions. In 2005. Mr. Lussi engineered a world-wide auction with more than 2,552 potential, qualified bidders for the sale of 34 acres of office, retail and residential buildings and land in Pentagon City and the Universal Buildings in Washington DC for the Tompkins Family and Cafritz Foundation. In 1997, Mr. Lussi created, copyrighted and trademarked LawTriums™ which enable law firms to become 30% to 60% more efficient. In 2018, Mr. Lussi converted his second pending national patent, the StepDown Lease™ Method, into an international pending patent, which saves nonprofits and corporations 25% on their annual rent expense each year, regardless of how much lease term they have remaining.

Michael B. Hammond

Principal

Michael started his career at Studley in 1998 as an analyst with Studley’s National Accounts Group. Since that time, Michael has been an integral team member on projects totaling in excess of 77 million square feet. Prior to joining Studley, Michael was a compliance analyst with the Retail & Institutional Mutual Fund Division at Invesco Funds PLC in Denver.

Barry S. Cohen

Principal

Barry Cohen has over 30+ years of experience representing some of the area’s largest and best-known firms in the Washington DC Metro area. Mr. Cohen’s real estate career began in 1987 when he joined the Maryland office of Shannon & Luchs Commercial Brokerage. In 1991, Mr. Cohen co-founded Scheer Partners, Inc., creating one of the most successful independent firms in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Presently, Mr. Cohen is Principal at Tenant Consulting, LLC.

Alan K. Willsey

Principal

Accomplished commercial real estate and sales executive with nearly thirty years experience providing brokerage services to office tenants in the Greater Washington area to include regional corporations, law firms association and non- profit organizations. As the Mid Atlantic Director for Los Angeles based SCI Real Estate Investments, Alan raised equity investments for the SCI portfolio of institutional grade office, retail and multihousing assets throughout the US, developing a deeper understanding of the owner/landlord side of the industry which will better serve his tenant clients. As a long time DC resident Alan has met and completed transactions with some well known DC names. Formerly associated with Shannon & Luchs Commercial, Long & Foster Commercial, CBRE and SCI Real Estate Investments.
